Profile
The Department of Agricultural Technology belongs to the School of Agricultural Technology of the University of Ioannina and was established by Law 4559/2018. It is based in the city of Arta. The purpose of the Department is to provide its students with the scientific knowledge that covers the entire spectrum of Agricultural Science. Minimum duration of study: ten (10) academic semesters
Mission and goals
The undergraduate studies programme highlights the knowledge subjects of Geotechnical Sciences, extending to Biological and Health Sciences which are rapidly evolving fields. The academic subjects / fields explored by the Department mainly concern Plant Production and Animal Production while maintaining applications in subjects such as Horticulture and Landscape Architecture. The Department's laboratories have state-of-the-art equipment, which can be used to conduct pioneer research and provide high-quality services in the agri-food sector. Some laboratories can serve as specialized service providers to a number of external users with the corresponding accreditation.
