Profile
The Department of Architectue of the University of Ioannina was founded in 2009 and belongs to the School of Engineering. Minimum duration of study: ten (10) academic semesters.
Mission and goals
The Department of Architecture has as its mission the cultivation and promotion of the science of Architectural Engineering especially in the fields of architectural composition, building technology, urban and spatial planning and the functional and aesthetic design of interior spaces and Buildings and the training of Engineering scientists capable of studying and research the issues related to the above areas. The purpose of the Department is comprehensive education, which will form qualified and competent professionals with well-rounded views on architecture, young scientists and creators who will have mastered the required theoretical and technical knowledge, will have cultivated the skills for aesthetic and critical thinking and that are able to respond to the developments of architectural ideas and understand in depth the social field where they will be asked to work.
