Profile
The Department of Early Years Learning and Care belongs to the School of Social Sciences of the University of Ioannina and was founded in 2018. Minimum duration of study: eight (8) academic semesters.
Mission and goals
The Department is committed to providing high-quality university education for the acquisition of a scientific and professional educator's identity specializing in the education of children from birth to compulsory education. It aims at the development of scientific knowledge by promoting scientific research in the subject areas of the Department, the scientific training of its students, the acquisition of the required knowledge, abilities and skills to contribute to the all-round development in early childhood and the creation of graduates capable of pursuing professional careers, postgraduate studies and contributing to research and knowledge development.
