Profile
The Department of Psychology was created in 2018) and accepted, its first students during the 2019-2020 academic year. Making use of the provisions of Law 4559/2018, more than 800 students of the former Philosophy, Pedagogy and Psychology Department chose to continue and complete their studies in the newly created Department of Phsychology. Minimum duration of study: eight (8) academic semesters.
Mission and goals
The programme of study of the Department of Psychology offers a rich range of theoretical and applied knowledge of the modern science of Psychology, giving students the opportunity to acquire a sufficient background of abilities and skills useful both for their professional specialization in one of the fields of psychology and to continue their education in Postgraduate Programmes of either basic or applied research in psychology. Studying at the Department of Psychology enhances the education and training of students, offering them the possibility of doing practical work in institutions where the profession of psychologist is practiced, and leads to obtaining a license to practice a profession, which is an integral part of the degree and is directly linked to the corresponding professional rights.
