The UoI Foreign Language Centre is a modern structure that seeks to promote foreign language learning, primarily focusing on teaching foreign languages for specific academic and scientific purposes.
FLC offers English, French and German classes, which are mostly incorporated in the Departments’ study programmes. Teaching complies with language proficiency levels, as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). At the same time, the Centre plans targeted curricula depending on academic needs, and develops research activity on current issues of teaching, translation, linguistics, etc. Partnerships have already been developed with FLCs at other Universities, both in Greece and abroad.
The FLC is located at the ground floor of the Central Library. It also features a Research & Foreign Language Learning Lab, with access to an e-learning platform for English.
