School
General Information
The School of Physics and Mathematics at the University of Ioannina was founded with N.D. 746/1970 and included the Mathematics Department founded in 1966, as well as the newly founded Physics Department. In 1977, the Department of Chemistry joined the School of Physics and Mathematics. The School of Sciences at the University of Ioannina was created with Presidential Decree 128/1983 and included the Departments of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. The School of Sciences underwent many reorganizations and attained its current structure under the provisions of Law 4485/2017.
