The University of Ioannina is proud to host its very first ARTEMIS Festival, taking place from 13 to 15 October 2025 at the “Karolos Papoulias” Conference Centre.
The festival is part of our participation in the European University ARTEMIS Alliance (Alliance for Regional Transition, Equity, Mobility, Inclusion, and Sustainability).
At the cornerstone of the festival is the Non-Conference for Young Scientists & Pinnacle Summit (WP4), a major ARTEMIS event for 2025. Around 80 young researchers and staff members from the University of Ioannina and our partner universities across Europe will gather to share ideas, collaborate, and explore new perspectives.
Over three days, the festival will bring together academics, administrators, students, and representatives from partner institutions and stakeholders. The programme will include:
- The Non-Conference for Young Scientists on the theme “Resilience in Science – Science for Resilience”
- The Pinnacle Summit on the theme “Resilience and Cities” (organized by the University of Perugia)
- Parallel side meetings for various ARTEMIS projects and networking opportunities
- ARTEMIS Days at the University of Ioannina, designed especially for students and staff
The Pinnacle Summit in particular is expected to advance discussions towards a shared European strategy for sustainable regional development, highlighting the importance of universities in tackling today’s challenges.
The success of the ARTEMIS Festival depends largely on the active involvement of our academic community. By taking part, members of the University of Ioannina will strengthen the event and reinforce our university’s role in the international academic landscape through the ARTEMIS Alliance.
More details will be shared soon.
